December 18 LAST DAY TO ORDER at Gallery Delany

December 17, 2014

Re: NOTE TO ALL, December 18 LAST DAY TO ORDER

Gallery Delany will fill any and all orders received through Thursday, December 18, 2014. Orders received after this date will be filled in early January. We thank each and every one of you whose comments, support, enthusiasm and wall art purchas has helped get us off the ground in only the past handful of weeks.

In the New Year, we will seek to expand our #wallart offerings on-line, in two ways-- one, photo art and two, graphic art, the latter with an emphasis on typography. Look for new samples in January, 2015.

Here is a recent addition to the Central Congregational Church collection, in Providence, Rhode Island, where the stained glass windows are second to none. This image helps celebrate the beginning, the arrival, the alpha, the annunciation....it faces another window across the sanctuary which in turn, celebrates the end, the omega, the City on the Hill, a vision of Paradise. Thanks to my friends and fellow worshippers at CCC for making this possible. Any proceeds for the sale of wall art of this collection go to the church to help expand its mission in the world.

Order your wall art for all those under utilized and underappreciated walls...before the holiday rush arrives.

At Holy Day Time, Why Gallery Delany?

December 14, 2014

Re: Ok....Why Gallery Delany?

Through all the holiday clutter, do you want to give a truly unusual gift? This is why...Gallery Delany. Where else can you consider affordable, original art that takes the form of a) an engraving b) a screen printed serigraph c) a photo offset poster of a national event d) a collection of scriptural verses done in contemporary style e) a series of wall art with beach sand attached and f) a sampling of handsome, striking photos of places we all know well, in some fashion-- where else?

Here is an example-- from the city of Fall River, one place that is about to come alive, once again, in a big way. This movement has been underway for decades, and will mark the return of a city that once upon a time was among the most affluent in the country-- back in the textile era. But now, the city's 8 million+ square feet of mill space, glowing waterfront on powerful Narragansett Bay, and a host of other reasons, all come together to propel it forward.

The image below was once the city's high school. Some years ago, it was, thank goodness, saved and converted into a courthouse which is its function, today. You can purchase images like this from Gallery Delany-- a truly unusual gift.

Gallery Delany offers original works of art as engravings, screen prints, offset prints, and digital, on-demand prints. Topics covered are similarly varied: patriotic wall art, religious and scriptural verse and photographic imagery describing places in New York City, in New Jersey, in Pennsylvania, in Massachusetts, Jackman and York Harbor, Maine; and Rhode Island, among others.

Today, Mr. Delany owns a small design communications consultancy, aaaForay, Inc., in Rehoboth, Massachusetts and provides a range of creative services to non-profits, start-ups and to a variety of small and emerging businesses along the South Coast of New England. Mr. Delany’s creative design communications have been awarded citations for excellence at the local, regional, national and even international levels.

You are invited to visit this new on-line gallery. Order your wall art for all those under utilized and under-appreciated walls...before the holiday rush arrives.

Story of Christmas in Typography, Luke 2:10 Now Available at Gallery Delany

P R E S S  R E L E A S E

RE: Christmas Story from Luke….in Typography...Now at Gallery Delany

What to give this year? Ok, here is something a little different, how about  #wallart as Christmas gifts!

Graphic designer George Delany has taken one of his unique, square format, typographic formats to express a key portion of the Christmas story as a new work of typographic art. This new work is available in THREE different color palettes; the first with gold cross comprised of yellow letters, the second of a lilac cross, and the third of a red cross, more in the spirit of Christmas colors. Each of these works is NOT engraved, as are others on the website, but digitally output, on-demand. These prints utilize pH-neutral pigments and paper stock. Each print uses relatively large type and prints out at about 20” square, before matte and frame are considered. Each of these options, a) print only b) print matted c) print matted and framed, is available using the pull-down menu on the website. These new digital designs print and ship via USPS in a timely fashion.

Relatedly, see an unfolding typographic collection of scriptural wall-art at Gallery Delany, this season. Old testament, New Testament, you’ll see many of your favorite biblical verses, here. At 11” x 17” before matte and frame, this size is likely to fit well in your home, apartment, condo corporate office or getaway-- a truly unusual gift idea, this year.
